Stainless Steel Pear Link
The nickel plated pear links will look the same.

Quick Link or C-Link

3.Medium Quick Links (bird safe). Stainless Steel.

All links are stainless steel. Recommended for medium and large birds. Most birds can use the 3.5mm link. All links are "wide jaw" meaning they are longer and open wider than standard quick links of the same size.

The advantage of a C-shaped quick link over a pear-shaped link is that it can be tightened with pliers. This makes it more difficult for the bird to open. If your bird can open
the quick link even when you tighten it with pliers, we recommend toy hangers with a plastic ball top.

Safety Info

Suggested link type and size: Use the pear links ONLY for small birds. For other birds (mid sized and big birds), use a quick link (also called C-link) that can be tightened with pliers or a wrench.

The toy hangers can be used in place of quick links and are safer because birds can't unscrew them.

If your bird has a band on its leg, make sure the pear link hangs with the wider end down. If your bird puts his foot through the opening of the link, it is less likely to get caught.

You may wish to use a C-shaped link or a toy hanger instead of a pear link (both are safer).
