Whiffle Ball  

Sizing Suggestions:
* Any size birds.
 
Bigger sized whiffle ball
for larger birds.

Durability:  whiffle balls = 2, destructible

Parts:

• Skewer
• Whiffle Ball
• Washer or Disk
• Plastic Parts - Squiggles, Pacifiers, Keys, etc.
• Leather and/or Rope
• Beads
• Leftover Toy Parts

How to assemble the toy:

1. Place the acrylic washer or plastic disk on the skewer.
2. Add the whiffle ball.
3. Fasten the parts to the whiffle ball. Place plastic, wood, and leather/rope (or plastic Paulie Rope) in and through the holes in the whiffle ball.
4. Add more toys (rings, beads, etc.) on the skewer above the whiffle ball. You can add more whiffle balls too.
5. Hang the toy beside your bird's perch.

1. Tie two knots (side by side) in the end of the Paulie Rope.
2. String a small wood or plastic bead and then a straw bead.  Place a small plastic spring over the straw bead. 
   Tie more knots on the end of the rope if needed to keep the bead on.
3. Tie a knot in the rope after the straw bead.  Thread the rope through the wiffle ball and tie another knot.
4. String a straw bead and place a spring over it.  Add a small bead (wood or plastic).  Tie two knots (side by side).
5. REPEAT three times (to have four strings = eight strands on the wiffle ball).
6. OPTIONAL.  Use extra Paulie Rope to make a hander or string on a skewer (Chewable Hanger).

OTHER THINGS TO PUT IN WHIFFLE BALLS 

• Plastic Squiggles

• Plastic Straws

• Leather Laces

• Plastic Springs - tiny or small

• Small Plastic Chain -- If the hole is too small, use an open pair of scissors to make the hole larger.  Insert the open blade of the scissors in the hole and turn it to carve out part of the plastic. 

• Short Pieces of plastic Paulie Rope 

• Plug the holes with Pacifiers.  See items above about enlarging holes.  The toy can be hung from a pacifier stuck in one of the holes.

GAME AND TOY SUGGESTIONS 
Game Suggestion: 
1. Whiffle Basketball -- Use a cup or dish for the basket.  Select ball size for your bird.
2. Whiffle Bowling -- Place whiffle balls on the top of a flat or arched top cage (with your bird inside the cage).  Teach your bird to knock them off the cage while you cheer her on!

Toy Making Suggestion:  
SPIDER TOY:  String leather laces through the holes and add beads and wood pieces.  
PUZZLE TOY: Stuff beads in the softball sized whiffle ball.
